Each year sororities increase their membership through a mutual selection process called Membership Recruitment. This process was formerly called Rush and it remains an accurate description. During Formal Recruitment, you will have an opportunity to become acquainted with each of the sororities on your campus and their members. At the end, your preferences and the sorority preferences are matched to achieve mutual selection. As an alumna member (sorority member no longer in college), there will be opportunities to network and develop friendships with sorority sisters from all over the country. Community involvement and philanthropic efforts continue along with social activities. The Austin Alumnae Panhellenic Association (AAPA) has delegates from many of the twenty-six (26) National Panhellenic Conference sororities. One of our purposes is to educate high school women and their parents about sororities |
