The Austin Alumnae Panhellenic Association (AAPA) offers yearly scholarships to initiated Junior or Senior collegiate sorority members from the Austin area. Scholarship recipients are members of National Panhellenic Conference sororities. The scholarships awarded are based on the applicant's grade point average, involvement with her sorority chapter, community service, and financial need. Requirements for Application:
Recipients will be notified by March 15 and will be invited to receive their scholarship award in person (or, if at a school out of the area, have their parent accept for them) at the annual AAPA Spring Awards Luncheon. Scholarship funds will be paid to the college or university, after proof of college registration for the fall semester is received. Submitted application photos will be used for local publicity of scholarship recipients. AAPA Scholarships are supported by proceeds from the Austin Alumnae Panhellenic Association's annual fundraising event. A goal of the Greek alumnae women in Austin is to provide financial assistance to collegiate sorority women, thereby assisting them to remain active with their collegiate chapters. |
